Location: Reading, PA
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Compensation: $30.00–$38.00 per hour
You arrive to a clean, organized shop and kick off a quick stand-up with the team—aligning priorities, allocating work, and confirming tooling and material readiness. You map the day’s workflow, then dive into programming for a high-precision, complex component—often 5-axis—using Mastercam and models from SolidWorks. You perform a first-article inspection, adjust offsets or make real-time program edits, and keep parts moving with in-process checks and tight tolerance control.
Mid-morning, you sync with engineering, production, and quality to remove bottlenecks and ensure on-time delivery for both internal and external customers. You log job details in the ERP system for traceability and efficiency. Throughout the day, you mentor machinists, reinforce 5S, and model safe behaviors to support a zero-incident culture. Before close, you review cycle times, spot improvement opportunities, and set the team up for tomorrow’s success.
Hourly pay: $30.00–$38.00 per hour. In addition, our pay transparency guidance indicates a typical range of $34–$38, with final base pay influenced by scope, experience, education/training, job-related skills, peer equity, market, and business considerations. Geographic adjustments may apply if authorized for work outside the listed location.
