ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Associate Creative Director (ACD) to join our growing U.S. team. This role will support the Contributing Executive Creative Director in leading projects across campaigns, branded content, and experiential activations, while mentoring creative teams and helping shape the creative vision for our U.S. market. The ACD will play a pivotal role in bridging high-level concepting with hands-on execution, ensuring our work remains both culturally relevant and strategically effective.
Duties, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Creative Leadership
Partner with the Executive Creative Director to develop concepts, campaigns, and storytelling approaches that embody Dazed’s cultural DNA.
Manage and guide a team of designer(s) and copywriter(s), ensuring creative excellence across deliverables.
Work in collaboration with freelancers where necessary, and give direction where necessary
Present work to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating concepts with clarity and conviction.
Cultivate a culture of inspiration-sharing within the team
360º Campaign Concepting & Development
Drive the conception of narrative campaigns that capture attention, drive conversation, and build lasting brand affinity.
Architect campaign ecosystems that connect with consumers across multiple platforms and remain relevant over time.
Develop campaigns using a full range of platforms: digital, social media, traditional media, live experiences, and emerging technologies.
Leverage Dazed's editorial heritage and cultural influence to create custom brand campaigns.
Ensure that every campaign balances brand objectives with cultural authenticity, cementing Dazed Studio’s reputation as a leading creative partner at the intersection of commerce and culture.
Oversee the development and delivery of multi-channel creative assets, including digital, film, social, print, and experiential, ensuring that it fulfils Dazed creative excellence standards.
Collaboration
Work as a cross-functional leader with other departments; Strategy, Production, and Client Services teams to ensure creative ideas align with brand objectives and timelines.
Build strong relationships with external partners (directors, photographers, stylists, influencers, production vendors).
Support new business pitches with creative vision, decks, and storytelling.
Skills, Qualities & Requirements:
10+ years of experience in a creative agency or equivalent with proven expertise in copy-led creative or art direction.
Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, multi-channel execution, and cultural fluency.
Experience leading teams and mentoring junior creatives.
Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable client-facing.
Ability to balance big-picture thinking with detail-oriented execution.
Deep passion for fashion, music, art, and youth culture—with a sharp instinct for what’s next.
Ability to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $150,000–$155,000 annually, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
