Position Overview: NewCo Capital Group is seeking a full-time Associate General Counsel to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in handling legal matters, offering strategic legal advice, and ensuring compliance with contracts. Additionally, you'll be responsible for addressing data privacy concerns and overseeing corporate governance matters. This position is based on-site in New York, NY. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent NewCo Capital in a variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, regulatory issues, collections, and other legal proceedings.
  • Oversee judgment enforcement procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Periodic assistance with general corporate matters, including contract review and revision.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to various business units within the company, helping to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Collaborate with external counsel as necessary, and manage outside legal relationships effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments, including fintech and financial services regulations, and communicate their implications to the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of experience in litigation, collections, and judgment enforcement.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of receivables-based financing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on relevant experience.
