The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience as a licensed attorney and work closely with the firm's clients, administrative staff, and senior partner. $90,000 - $125,000 yearly

• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
• Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution
• Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome

• Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
• Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
• Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
• No prior history of disciplinary complaints or prior malpractice claims.
• Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in family law or other civil litigation experience.

We are located in Kansas City, Missouri (on the West side of the Country Club Plaza area) and practice primarily in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area (Missouri and Kansas).

Compensation details: 90000-125000 Yearly Salary
