Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrical Technician responsible for creating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Specifically for a local car and truck accessory shop that has been in business for over 50 years.

A critical element in this role is having the ability to complete tasks on time, budget and with the upmost attention to detail.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by following blueprints, instructions and the knowledge to see the job all the way through. Customer interaction will be necessary for some jobs, so being able to explain and trouble shoot will play a role in this position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots electrical issues
• Conducts general electrical maintenance
• Reads and interprets blueprints and technical diagrams
• Labels system components
• Performs other installation duties as assigned or required.
• Most jobs will be: install remote starters, wire lighting for work trucks, aftermarket headlights, fuel cells, install tool boxes, tonneau covers, assist with lift kits, stereo systems, amplifiers, subs, etc.
• Ability to work OT

• Bring your own tools
• Reliable transportation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
• At least 1 year of electrical experience or tech school equivalent
• Highly observant and analytical
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient with hand tools
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills
• Physically able to lift 35 lbs

Pay: Starting From $20.00/ HR, depending on experience can be around $25.00/ HR
