Automotive Buffer: Location Fond Du Lac We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as an automotive car buffer. As an integral part of our collision center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations and efficient workflow of our facility. If you have a high school diploma, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for automotive aesthetics, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities of a Body Shop Buffer

  • Perform auto body buffing and polishing to restore vehicles' exterior finish to its original luster.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to carefully remove imperfections, scratches, and blemishes from the vehicle's surface.
  • Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared for buffing by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
  • Apply appropriate compounds and polishes to achieve a smooth, glossy finish on various types of vehicle surfaces.
  • Inspect and assess the condition of vehicles to determine the extent of buffing required.
  • Match factory paint textures and remove imperfections in painted panels.
  • Collaborate with the team of painters and estimators to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to protect yourself, team members, and the vehicles in the work area.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, including the proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Requirements to apply for the Auto Buffer Job
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Previous experience in auto body buffing or related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address imperfections effectively.
  • Familiarity with various buffing tools, equipment, and products used in automotive refinishing.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

  • Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work responsibly around hazardous materials.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
