Job Description

Primary Services is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-driven Benefits and Total Rewards Analyst to support our client's U.S. and Canadian employee population. This role is central to advancing our client's HR and talent strategy through the development, management, and administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs. The Analyst will act as a liaison with brokers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer U.S. and Canadian health and welfare plans, including enrollments, terminations, and payroll/vendor coordination
  • Resolve escalated employee and claim issues in collaboration with benefits brokers and third-party vendors
  • Support M&A activity by conducting benefit due diligence and integration planning
  • Maintain and update benefit modules in ADP Vantage; ensure accuracy of eligibility file feeds
  • Coordinate with brokers, legal counsel, and vendors to ensure compliant plan documents and SPDs
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of 1095s, 5500s, and other required filings
  • Manage Canadian benefits programs and serve as primary contact for related issues
  • Oversee 401(k) plan administration, including hardship withdrawals, QDROs, Safe Harbor compliance, and annual audits
  • Lead open enrollment activities: prepare materials, coordinate training, and manage system setup
  • Evaluate and recommend benefit plan enhancements to maintain market competitiveness
  • Create and distribute monthly benefit awareness communications for U.S. and Canadian teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Finance, HRIS, and leadership on benefit initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering health, welfare, and retirement plans
  • In-depth knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and U.S. insurance regulations required
  • Experience with Canadian benefits preferred
  • Experience with ADP Vantage HCM required
  • Preferred certifications: PHR, SHRM-CP, CBP, or CEBS
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
