Business Development Manager – Construction Company
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance our construction services. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, sales, and business strategy, with a strong ability to negotiate and close deals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Market Research & Strategy:
•Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape.
•Develop and implement strategic growth plans to expand the company’s footprint in residential, commercial, and specialty construction sectors.
•Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, general contractors, architects, and key industry stakeholders.
•Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
•Work closely with clients to understand their project needs and present tailored solutions.
•Sales & Revenue Growth:
•Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
•Negotiate contracts, pricing, and project terms to secure profitable business.
•Meet and exceed sales targets by closing deals and expanding the company’s portfolio.
•Collaboration & Coordination:
•Work closely with project managers, estimators, and executives to ensure smooth project transitions from sales to execution.
•Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and lead-generation campaigns.
•Reporting & Performance Analysis:
•Track and report on sales activities, revenue growth, and market expansion efforts.
•Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for business improvements.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the construction industry.
•Strong network of contacts in the construction and real estate sectors.
•Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
•Ability to work independently and drive results in a competitive market.
•Knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and industry regulations is a plus.
•Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
