Salary: $102,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:
- To qualify for this position, you need to be a U.S. Person, which includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, Asylees, or Refugees. Responsibilities: - In this critical position for an experienced analytics professional, I will rely on you to influence the future of business intelligence on a large scale. You will be integral in establishing our Power BI practice, constructing frameworks that support self-service analytics, and mentoring business stakeholders to enhance their proficiency as BI practitioners. Your role will involve more than just creating dashboards; it encompasses designing scalable solutions and fostering organizational change.
- Your specific tasks will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Defining and executing BI best practices, standards, and governance frameworks. You’ll contribute to our strategic roadmap for federated BI transformation and collaborate with senior leadership on analytics initiatives across the enterprise.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Working directly with early adopters in various business sectors to translate complex business needs into scalable BI solutions, while mentoring users to develop self-service analytics capabilities and guiding teams through the transition from legacy tools to Power BI.
- Technical Excellence: Designing and implementing sophisticated data models, creating robust semantic layers, and developing engaging dashboards and visualizations. This involves writing high-performance SQL, optimizing data pipelines, and implementing security measures like row-level security.
- Architect and Strategist: Crafting scalable frameworks for enterprise-wide self-service analytics, identifying opportunities for enhancements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

More:
Minimum Qualifications:
- An active Secret (or higher) security clearance
- Over 5 years of advanced SQL development and optimization
- More than 5 years of experience with modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- At least 3 years of hands-on Power BI development and administration
- A minimum of 3 years in designing and implementing SQL-based data models
- A proven history of collaborating directly with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Demonstrated experience in translating business needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dbt Cloud for data transformation and modeling
- Background in designing enterprise semantic layers and data marts
- Expertise in implementing row-level security and data governance within BI environments
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams and understanding data pipeline architectures
- Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures and modern data stack components
- Experience with Starburst (Trino) for high-performance analytics
- AWS cloud platform experience
- Knowledge of Apache Superset
- Experience with Airflow to understand upstream data dependencies
Pay Transparency:
For transparency in pay, we disclose salary ranges for all U.S. job postings. The starting salary for this role ranges from $102,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually, determined by various job-related factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
