Summary of Primary Functions : Supervise prestress carpenter shop, assign duties to individual Carpenters, build complicated wood forms for prestress, and install form work as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Obtain shop cards for scheduled pours.
Review shop cards and mark areas requiring form work.
Calculate dimensions of form work and draw sketch.
Assign form work for Prestress Carpenter or Mold Builder.
Measure and mark forming material to correct dimensions.
Cut/saw forming materials to size on table saw, radial saw, or other equipment.
Assemble cut materials into haunch boxes, dapout boxes, header, etc.
Install form work in prestress beds.
Repair, modify, or clean used form work to be salvaged for additional pours.
Repair carpenter shop equipment as needed.
Build form work requiring advanced carpentry techniques (curbs, arched panels, etc.)
Clean up work area.
Complete timesheets for Carpenter Shop.
Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor
