Job Description

SUMMARY The Carrier Representative is responsible for working with our network of trusted 3rd party carriers to haul our customers freight. This includes but is not limited to negotiating rates, booking trucks on available loads, tracking load progress and communicating load updates with our sales and customer service teams. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated to exceed daily and monthly goals, possess strong negotiation skills, and possess strong phone, email and verbal communication skills as well as proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook and Google Chrome. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiate rates with carriers, entering and recording all terms and conditions of shipment agreements Attract and retain qualified carriers Match shipments to carriers specific needs and profile Respond to carrier request for service and resolve load issues Communicates with the sales and customer services teams on load status and problems that may arise Manages a book of business in accordance with monthly goals Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Strong problem solving and negotiating skills Customer service orientated Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient computer, phone, and internet skills Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to Warren corporate values and the success of all staff.
