JMH Weiss, Inc Civil Engineers, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Engineer on the Land Development Team in our Cupertino, CA, office. The position involves both civil design and project management responsibilities in the design of commercial and residential land development projects. We are looking for an individual who enjoys the challenge of handling multiple projects simultaneously, has strong interpersonal skills, is detail-oriented, has a strong work ethic, and has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Prior experience in Project Management will be considered highly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform and oversee civil engineering design in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications
· Project management of multiple projects simultaneously
· Coordination with clients, other design professionals, and public agencies
· Prepare fee estimates and proposals
· Collaboration with in-house engineers and supporting staff
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· BS or higher in Civil Engineering
· California PE license in Civil Engineering preferred
· Experience in design of site grading and drainage, infrastructure, hydrology, hydraulics, topographic mapping, and stormwater management
· Experienced in designing with AutoCAD Civil 3D
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Additional Experience Requirements
Include feasibility studies; roadway and infrastructure design; analysis and design of grading, storm drainage, storm detention/retention, water systems, and sanitary sewer systems; erosion control plans; permit processing; constructability analysis; quantities and cost estimates; bid document preparation; and project coordination/administration.
