Job Description

Vargo Trucking Inc., a subsidiary of Lardon Construction Corporation, is a reputable, family-owned business based in Blasdell, New York. We are a full-service trucking company offering a range of hauling services including dump trucks, dump trailers, Walkingfloor trailers, flatbed, Rolloff, and lowboy trailers. We are seeking a dedicated Class B Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position that offers the opportunity to work locally and be part of a company that values its employees and community. Our drivers are the face of our company, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class B Dump Trucks and Rolloff trucks, both standard and automatic, for local hauling services.
• Ensure the safe and efficient transport of materials to designated locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of vehicles, both inside and out.
• Secure loads with appropriate tie-downs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Represent Vargo Trucking professionally and courteously in all interactions.
• Adhere to scheduled hours, with flexibility for occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Pass DOT physical examination.
• Experience with dump trucks and Rolloff trucks preferred, but not required.
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain effective relationships.
• Commitment to safety and reliability.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Benefits

• 5 PTO days accrued annually as per NYS regulations.
• 1 Personal day and 6 paid holidays per year after a 90-day probation period.
