Adapture is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect (Cloud) to join fast paced team in Atlanta, GA.
Position Overview: The Senior Solutions Architect (Cloud) plays a crucial leadership role within the Cloud team, overseeing the growth of the cloud department while providing expert technical guidance to clients. This position blends technical leadership, client-facing engagements, and strategic contributions to deliver customized cloud solutions that align with our clients’ business objectives. You will play an active role in day-to-day operations, mentor and support team members, and help drive the ongoing success and expansion of the cloud department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales & Solution Design:
- Engage with prospective clients during the sales process, understanding their business needs, technical requirements, and cloud transformation goals.
- Develop and present tailored cloud architecture solutions, demonstrating both technical and business value.
- Conduct workshops, technical deep dives, and presentations to clients and prospects.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and materials that support client acquisition and retention.
- Assist with proposals, RFIs, and RFPs by providing detailed solution architecture designs and estimates.
- Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures that align with clients' goals, ensuring robust and future-proof solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Lead the adoption of cloud best practices and standards within the department and organization.
- Advise clients on cloud migrations, optimization, and ongoing cloud management.
- Driving Growth & Expansion:
- Work closely with leadership to help drive the expansion of the cloud department, identifying opportunities for growth and new business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering) to identify new cloud service offerings and market segments.
- Support the team in achieving sales targets, focusing on large-scale enterprise solutions and long-term client relationships.
- Operational Excellence:
- Assist in day-to-day operations by providing technical guidance and problem-solving expertise.
- Oversee the delivery of pre-sales and solution architecture work, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
- Maintain effective project timelines and coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of cloud solutions, supporting the post-sales handover process.
- Provide coaching and support to junior team members, helping them enhance their technical skills and career development.
- Lead internal initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in a solutions architecture or cloud consulting role, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing cloud solutions across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud both Profession and Managed Services are preferred.
- Strong experience in pre-sales activities, with a deep understanding of client needs, solution selling, and delivering complex technical solutions.
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, driving team performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless architecture, and cloud security.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based databases, networking, identity management, and storage solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud cost management, automation, and optimization best practices.
- Understanding of enterprise IT environments and ability to design hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, sales teams, and technical staff at all levels.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- TOGAF, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
