The Opportunity:

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to enhance cloud infrastructure and application services' performance, security, and scalability. This role is critical in defining best practices, automating deployments, and ensuring cloud solutions are both secure and efficient. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, this position offers the chance to shape cloud strategy and drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement best practices for cloud-based application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments.
  • Automate and streamline deployment pipelines to improve efficiency.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and performance issues.
  • Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and security policies.
  • Research and integrate new technologies to enhance IT services and business value.
  • Design and develop infrastructure as code using Python, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts .
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and other industry-standard tools.
  • Optimize API gateways and API management solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Skills & Experience You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying cloud-based production applications.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud .
  • Expertise in cloud security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript , or similar programming languages.
  • Experience designing scalable cloud architectures using Docker and Kubernetes .
  • Familiarity with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps .
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Solutions Architecture.
  • Experience mentoring teams on cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Background in financial services or investment environments is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering cloud transformation projects .
