**Job Summary and Responsibilities** **AmeriMed Infusion Pharmcy in West Chester, Ohio Now Hiring Fulltime Compounding Pharmacy Technician - $2,500 Sign On Bonus** **Work Schedule (9:30 AM -6:00 PM) M-F.** *******On Call Rotation every 6-8 weekends**** At **AmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy** , we strive to embody our mission of delivering hope and healing to those we serve. Under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist, the Compounding Pharmacy Technician measures and compounds medication, maintains patient records, and performs those duties deemed acceptable by the State Board of Pharmacy. Rooted in humankindness, our ministry is at the heart of everything we do and can be seen in every patient we touch. **Key Responsibilities & Requirements:** + **Certification:** Maintains State and National Pharmacy Technician Certification. If not CPhT certified, must obtain an approved national certification to practice in the state working within 12 months of the hire date. + **Training:** Assists with the orientation and training of pharmacy personnel. + **Billing:** Must be able to work with insurance providers and medical providers, including billing insurance providers and performing necessary follow-up. + **Schedule:** (9:30 AM -6:00 PM) M-F. **On Call Rotation every 6-8 weekends** + **Equipment & Procedures:** + Programs or double checks IV pump settings for accuracy prior to delivery. + Completes yearly ACHC assessments of compounding standards successfully. + Under the supervision of the Pharmacist completes review with referral sources and/or physicians for therapies completing service to obtain discontinuation or continuation orders if allowable by the state. + Cleans and calibrates compounding equipment per manufacturer's guidelines and policy and procedures (if applicable). + Demonstrates ability to perform sterile compounding per strict USP 797 guidelines and maintains up to date knowledge of USP 797 guidelines. + **Patient & Service Coordination:** + Communicates with patients about supply and deliveries of medications. + Coordinates continuation or discontinuation of services, processes refill prescriptions, and documents in the patients' records. + Utilizes administrative and clinical knowledge to assist Pharmacists in providing medication and other health care products to patients. + Assists in the preparation of I.V. medications and supplies for clients and maintains a clean and organized pharmacy. + Responsible for executing all processes in the production of compounded sterile preparations, while strictly adhering to USP 797 regulations and departments Standard Operating Procedures. **Benefits:** + Generous annual bonus opportunity based on company performance + Excellent holiday and paid time off plans + Medical, dental, and vision plans + Tuition reimbursement for degree-seeking students + Employer contribution to your 401(k) **Job Requirements** + High school graduate or equivalent + State pharmacy technician licensure for Ohio. + Obtains national certification within 12 months of employment . + Compounding Pharmacy Technician - Six months of sterile IV + Compounding pharmacy technician experience. + Excellent customer service skills. + Excellent math skills. + Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work as part of a + multidisciplinary team + Self-directed with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. + Working knowledge of medical technology. + Availability for full-time, regular day time hours and ability to work on-call hours.
