Spur, a digital staffing agency, is seeking hard-working and dependable Custodians to support Marshall County Schools . This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview

As a Custodian , you will be responsible for ensuring that school facilities are clean, well-maintained, and meet health and safety standards. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and sanitary environment for learning and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and other school areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down rooms for school events and activities.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to appropriate personnel.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Secure school buildings by locking doors and windows after hours if required.
• Lift and move heavy objects up to 65 lbs as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00 fee).
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Must be able to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines .
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (varies by location)
• Work Period: Follows the school calendar when classes are in session
