Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Officer for a bank. This role is responsible for delivering a superior banking experience to clients by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries and concerns, and promoting the bank’s full range of products and services. You will act as a key point of contact in the branch, ensuring every client interaction is professional, efficient, and personalized.

This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and professionally, providing assistance with account inquiries, transactions, and general banking needs.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality service by listening to client concerns and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Educate clients on digital banking tools, account features, and service enhancements.
  • Identify customer needs through active listening and recommend suitable banking products and services.
  • Support referral efforts by recognizing opportunities for consumer loans, credit cards, and small business products.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all consumer banking products, services, and procedures.
  • Accurately process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, money orders, and account maintenance.
  • Adhere to internal controls, security policies, and regulatory compliance requirements, including BSA/AML.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including client follow-up, documentation, and reporting as needed.
  • Work closely with branch teammates to meet performance goals and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in using banking systems, Microsoft Office, and digital platforms.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
