MUST HAVES:

• 1+ year experience working with diesel engines
• Needs base knowledge of operation
• 1+ year experience working with hydraulics
• Technical School background in Automotive field OR high school diploma OR GED
• Technical School/Vocational School background is preferred
• Have to pass BC/DT, nicotine is fine
• They conduct random drug tests so this is important!!

PLUSSES:

• ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence)
• Certified Diesel Maintenance Program
• Prior Military experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is looking for an Entry Level C-Tech Diesel Mechanic who is able to work fully onsite in Massillon, OH. OT is to be expected, but is not always mandatory. They will work an average of 50 hours a week. They will be conducting truck inspections on the garbage trucks and documenting any maintenance/repairs that is needed. They will also fill out the preventative maintenance forms and any other documents necessary. This position also requires the ability to perform very minor maintenance repairs such as lightbulbs, grip belts, hydraulic lines, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions.
• Areas of equipment maintenance may include: Vehicle PM inspections and adjustments; Oil changes and fluids replenishment; Adjustments and light repairs including tire changes; and Basic electrical work, such as light changes; Conducts visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and identify the sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools.
• Making very minor repairs, primarily conducting inspections on the trucks
• Filling out preventative maintenance forms & documenting repairs needed to be completed
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
