Annual Salary Range DOQ
$85,000 to $135,000
The City of Goddard is looking for an experienced and ambitious leader to join our senior staff as our Public Works Director. While we are proud to boast the highest pay for this position in comparison to cities of our size ($85,000- $135,000 DOQ), there are many other reasons why this role is attractive. Goddard is one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest, having added well over 200 new families to our community in 2024 alone.
This trajectory creates a huge opportunity to grow within the position, and take on the exciting opportunities that come with a fast-paced organization/community. Among a significant list of major capital projects looming, this position will oversee the design and construction of a state-of-the-art Public Works building in the very near future. A brand new regional park and several new utility infrastructure projects are on the near horizon too.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leading, planning, organizing, and directing all Public Works operations.
• Responsible for the departmental budget
• Hire, supervise, and train Public Works employees
• Lead Street, Water, Wastewater Plant, and Parks/Recreation operations.
• Enforcing safety regulations and compliance with City policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
