Job Description

Our Fortune 100 financial services company is hiring for a Vault Records Management Specialist.

This position is accountable for production and performance within the Vault Records Management Department—a high-volume, productivity-driven environment. Attention to detail is critical, as the core responsibility involves reviewing auto finance contracts. Additional tasks include filing paperwork, pulling files from shelves, and completing various support activities. Candidates must be comfortable using word processing applications and electronic spreadsheets to accurately track and record metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve files from vault shelves at the time of payoff or charge-off
• Stand, stoop, bend, and lift continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
• Check in customer files and perform detailed quality assurance upon arrival
• Organize, sort, and file 8-digit color-coded folders numerically
• Identify and verify documents required for legal retention
• Fulfill file and image requests from various sources, internal departments, and reports
• Adhere strictly to company policies and documented process procedures
• Remain flexible to meet evolving business needs
• Dependably report to work on time and maintain excellent attendance
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task while balancing speed and accuracy
• Work independently with strong attention to detail and self-motivation
• Meet and sustain 99% accuracy and efficiency standards in all tasks
• Lift and move boxes or bundles of files weighing up to 40 pounds

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience
• Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
• 10-key typing speed of 8,000 keystrokes per hour

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree
• At least 1 year of experience working in a file-room or similar records management setting
