K-9 Divine Dog Ranch is located in Nanjemoy, Maryland. All jobs are performed onsite in Nanjemoy, Maryland.

At K-9 Divine Dog Ranch, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, fun, and cage-free environment for dogs while their owners are away. Our facility is designed to ensure that every dog feels at home, with plenty of space to play, relax, and socialize. We are passionate about animal care and are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Dog Handler.

Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Dog Handler to oversee the well-being of our canine guests. This role is crucial in ensuring that all dogs are comfortable, safe, and happy throughout their stay. Your schedule would be 10:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday to Monday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. Availability on holidays is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise dogs in a cage-free environment.
• Maintain a constant supply of clean, fresh water indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the facility. This includes scooping poop, cleaning floors and doing laundry.
• Clear and professional communication with coworkers and management.

Professional Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred.
• Passionate about animal welfare and committed to providing excellent care.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Desire to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift 50 lbs with no restrictions.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• The ability to handle stress and maintain composure (Just Deal with it and Move On!)
• The ability to multitask and adapt to unscheduled events (Just Roll with It!)
• High energy personality and positivity (Drama Doesn’t Work for Us or the Dogs!)
• Punctuality, organization, reliability (Since we work with Live Animals, we cannot work with Flakiness!)
• We are looking for someone who can communicate with us clearly and tell us what they need to achieve success.
