The California Energy Commission (CEC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Reliability Reserve Incentives Branch within the Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives (RREDI) Division .
In this role, you’ll lead complex engineering, economic, and policy analysis related to:
⚡ Alternative electric generation technologies and fuels
🔋 Grid resilience and reliability
🌞 Renewable energy and distributed energy resources
📉 Demand flexibility and strategic decarbonization efforts
As a subject matter expert, you’ll independently develop and evaluate innovative energy strategies, assess cutting-edge technologies, and inform California’s transition to a clean, reliable energy future . You’ll also advise on the feasibility and impact of legislation, major programs, and energy initiatives critical to the Strategic Reliability Reserve .

The RREDI Division drives key incentive and financing programs supporting California’s energy and climate goals. The Reliability Reserve Incentives Branch leads policy development and implementation for initiatives that ensure the stability and sustainability of the state’s power grid.
