We are looking for an experienced I&E Tech to join our team at a hydrochloric and sulfuric acid plant in East St. Louis, IL . This role focuses on industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and controls work, with an emphasis on diagnosing and repairing control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors and control systems
✔ Read and interpret PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems for diagnostics and maintenance
✔ Work with 4-20 mA control loops and variable speed drive/controllers
✔ Perform electrical maintenance and swap out faulty components rather than building new systems
✔ Address equipment failures and conduct routine maintenance
✔ Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
✔ Follow strict safety protocols in a highly safety-conscious environment
What We’re Looking For:
✅ 3 - 5 years of industrial electrical/maintenance experience
✅ Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
✅ Background as a Controls Technician, I&C Technician, E&E Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Technician
✅ Strong troubleshooting skills on the controls side, including reading PLCs
✅ Comfortable working within a structured training program for the first six months
✅ Not a lineman or machinist role—seeking a skilled troubleshooter
