Job Description:
The Senior Electrical Technician plays a critical role in the development of innovative medical devices. This position involves setting up electrical equipment, and designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electronic components and systems. Initially, the candidate will start with smaller assembly tests such as PCBs and circuit boards but will progress to full systems as they advance in the role. The technician will collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet regulatory standards and performance specifications. This role is primarily lab-based, with some reporting and data collection responsibilities. The ideal candidate will work with a team of 5-6 engineers on various tests.

Responsibilities: • Electrical Test Setup and Evaluation: Develop and evaluate electrical tests for accurate data collection. Execute design verification tests to validate product performance. • Troubleshooting and Collaboration: Resolve issues with prototypes and existing products. Collaborate with engineering teams to refine specifications and improve functionality. • Documentation and Reporting: Document test procedures, results, and design changes. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders. • Equipment Maintenance and Mentorship: Maintain equipment and instruments. Train and mentor junior technicians and interns. • Project Support and Resource Management: Participate in design reviews and project planning. Assist in identifying and obtaining supplies and services. Communicate project status and establish specifications and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience: • LabView expertise • Experience with function generators • Power analyzer / measurement experience • Medical Device experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Source Measure Unites (SMU) knowledge • Comes from a Design or Hardware team • Troubleshooting knowledge • MRI experience

Pay Rate: $25-35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
