Job Title: Engineering Manager
Position Summary
We're seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team specifically extrusion/plastic manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Process Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Guide technical execution across the foam extrusion process, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, and R&D to drive operational excellence.
Process Optimization
- Design and implement improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.
- Lead and justify plant efficiency and safety initiatives from concept through execution.
- Maintain and improve digital and technical monitoring systems for extrusion equipment.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and hands-on support to maximize equipment uptime.
Project & Strategic Management
- Drive structured planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee budgets for new production lines and develop cost-effective technical solutions.
- Coordinate production trials and testing for new products, ensuring seamless integration into operations.
- Spearhead facility growth and expansion efforts to support long-term business strategy.

Your Skillset
- Deep knowledge of machinery and manufacturing processes, ideally in a foam or plastics environment.
- Proven experience leading complex engineering initiatives and managing technical staff.
- Degree or heav experience
- Proficiency in CAD, technical documentation, and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls after hours in a 24/7 production setting.
- Preferably located within 30 minutes of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a project management/engineering management role.
- Background in plastics, extrusion, or similar manufacturing is highly desirable.
