Job Title: Family Law Legal Assistant

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law Legal Assistant with a minimum of five years of experience in family law to join a prestigious family law firm. This position will provide direct support to one Senior Associate and one Junior Associate, assisting in all aspects of case management and legal proceedings. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file legal documents with the court via e-filing or traditional filing.
• Draft and process subpoenas and prepare documents for production.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines and court requirements are met.
• Conduct client follow-ups and manage attorney calendars efficiently.
• Assist in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and pleadings.
• Utilize Citrix ShareFile and Time Matters (preferred but not required).
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for document creation and management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Family Law Legal Assistant.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent follow-up and time management abilities.
• Familiarity with court procedures, filings, and e-filing systems.
• Experience with case management software (Citrix ShareFile and Time Matters experience is a plus).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
