Title: Field Inspector

Location: Onsite in Worthington, OH 43229

Duration: 9-Month Contract to Hire

Hours: 7:30-5:30 (40-50 hour weeks)

Pay Rate: $20-26/hr

Start Date : April 7th

Interview Process: 1&D on-site

Required Skills:

• HS Diploma/GED

• Experience testing/inspecting - Soil, concrete, asphalt or relative

• Ability to travel throughout Ohio when needed

• Valid driver’s License and ability to pass MVR check required

Plusses:

• Experience recording data and compiling reports
• ACI Concrete Field Testing certificate/training
• Nuclear Densometer Safety certificate/training

Day to Day:

• Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete and concrete at the time of placement on an active construction site.
• Interpret specifications and working drawings.
• Field inspection, testing, sampling, equipment, and equipment maintenance on assigned project.
• Obtain and record field data, in a legible and organized fashion; as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff. Generate and compile field reports.
• Record daily installed construction quantities.
• Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
• Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
• Maintain equipment as required.
• Understand and follow the public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
