Gregory McMillan And Associates | Personal Injury and Criminal Defense Attorneys in Peachtree Corners , GA is looking for one full time paralegal- criminal and personal injury law to join our team. We are located on 3295 River Exchange Drive 545. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience working in criminal defense and personal injury law.

Daily Responsibilities

• Conducting client interviews and maintaining contact with the client
• Locating and interviewing witnesses
• Attending client jail visits with attorney
• Verifying information
• Reviewing state’s evidence with attorney
• Assisting in the development of defenses, theory of case, and trial strategy
• Conducting fact investigation and analysis
• Participating in formulation of discovery plan and drafting discovery requests
• Obtaining copies of court documents, such as arrest records, search warrants, and prior records
• Assisting lawyers in the preparation of depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences
• Attending pretrial conference with attorney
• Coordinating the appearance of witnesses at trial
• Summarizing depositions, testimony, and interrogatories
• Conducting legal research related to pleading and motion preparation
• Drafting motions and stipulations for dismissal
• Create and maintain a high level of execution in meeting deadlines under minimal supervision
• Organizing and tracking files related to case documents and important transactions
• Drafting legal court documents, such as motions, affidavits, demands, briefs and settlement agreements, and transactional documents, such as contracts

Qualifications

Paralegal certificate with at least 2 years experience as paralegal working in criminal law and personal injury, OR

5 or more years working as a legal assistant in criminal defense and personal injury law.

2 years extensive experience using Lexis Nexis

Must be tech savvy- MS office, Outlook, MS Teams, Fax/copy/scan

Must have excellent verbal, writing and phone skills.

Preferred

*Experience using Clio case management software

*Bilingual Spanish
