Professional Sports Publications is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join a growing editorial department that produces both industry-focused marketing periodicals and sports publications. We’re looking for a team player who is eager to be fully involved in the development of new publications at the company. This is an entry-level/mid-level position.

The candidate must be proficient in:

• InDesign CS6
• Illustrator CS6
• Photoshop CS6
• Knowledge of fonts and CC a plus

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain brand image and standards from team to team
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be able to meet all project deadlines
• Work effectively with teammates
• Create compelling graphics, layout compositions, illustrations
• Editing copy, organizing and proofing layouts
• Build a publication from start to finish
• Must be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Adobe Acrobat
• Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrable abilities in typography, layout, composition and color.
• Relevant knowledge of print production
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal design, editorial and art teams.
• Aptitude and confidence to create and present layout design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Familiarity with book production and prepress process

Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM + any additional hours that may be necessary to meet deadlines.
