Job Description

Cape Fox subsidiary Kwáan Tech is seeking an experienced Graphics Designer to support a government customer. The Graphics Designer translates company and Federal client marketing objectives into conceptual works while adhering to specific branding and project guidelines and requirements. The scope of work will include print, web, tradeshow and signage design as well as general presentations and informational graphics support for Federal marketing and business development. The Graphic Designer will report to the Creative Director and will assist in creating, developing, implementing, tracking, and updating support material from concept through to completion, delivery, and archiving. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Support the mission and objectives of both Kwáan Tech and its Federal clients by portraying the desired message and design that will appeal to both Department of Defense client and their target audiences

• Design, develop, and implement creative projects that promote the client’s message while assisting in helping them meet their long term objectives and strategic goals

• Working with the team, maintain and execute creative and conceptual processes that allow for the development and production of consistent high quality branded graphics

• Electronically manage the creation of marketing collateral, advertisements, promotions, websites, tradeshows, special events, presentations, proposals, and materials

• Ensure quality creative content is delivered on time and within established budget

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Graphic Design or similar degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Active Secret clearance or greater
  • Superior knowledge of print design with focus on typography, style sheets, page layout and the development of information graphics
  • Superior expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically print design programs including: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Fireworks
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Passionate about print design, specifically typography, layout and the development of informational graphics
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Ability to excel under pressure in a deadline driven, high-pressure environment where priorities often shift
  • Excellent portfolio
  • Comfortable working with clients at all levels and is able to take projects from start to completion
  • Ability follow guidelines, processes and frameworks to help the team work efficiently and effectively
  • Strong research capabilities related to the development of informational graphics
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starting with excellent time management skills
  • Highly collaborative individual with good listening skills
  • Ability to handle objections and counter professionally
  • Ability to work on a Mac and/or Windows based platform and a strong understanding of both environments
  • Work under deadline pressure and deliver professional results
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
  • Maintain and regularly communicate job requests and status
  • Extended hours or weekends may be required to meet deliverables
  • Experience in the government contracting or Federal markets is helpful but not required
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
