Position: HVAC Chiller Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Salary: $48 - $52/hour

PrideNow is seeking HVAC Chiller Technicians for our client, a leading global provider of healthy, safe, and sustainable building and cold chain solutions. What You’ll Do:

• Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applying expertise to support state-of-the-art facilities.
• Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and escalate issues for resolution when necessary.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, and implementing effective safety measures.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification.
• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
• 3+ years of experience working with chillers.
• Must pass an exam for Building Trades Journeyman certification conducted by an Examining Board.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various physical positions (standing, crawling, sitting, squatting) for extended periods.
• Current union member or willingness to join a union.
• Must be located in or near Grand Rapids, MI.

Valued, but Not Required:

• Experience with data centers.
• Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of ServiceMax.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
