Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester
Location: Columbia, SC Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Duration of the Contract: 12 months
Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform tests on technical solutions to identify, isolate, and resolve issues.
· Initiate tests, analyze results, and provide solutions to technical problems.
· Develop test plans, QA processes, and UAT test cases for product management and software development teams.
· Design and support UI testing applications and regression testing software.
· Test software applications for stability, performance, and reliability.
· Implement test programs, including negative and usability testing.
· Lead quality assessment projects to identify defects, security gaps, and optimization opportunities.
· Design and execute automated testing scripts; support test deployment.
· Create QA documentation and detailed reports as needed.
· Follow established software testing governance policies and best practices; suggest improvements.
· Maintain defect databases, user reviews, survey data, and functional enhancements.
· Collaborate with product development teams and software engineers to improve performance and efficiency.
· Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections per governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
·3+ years translating business requirements or policy documents into test scenarios/cases.
·3+ years building test cases and scenarios into test systems.
·2+ years ’ experience testing IBM Curam software.
· Ability to document and support the creation of test scenarios/cases and execute test activities.
· Strong communication skills to publish status reports, highlight issues/gaps, and clearly articulate findings to development teams.
Preferred Skills:
·5+ years ’ experience working with large enterprise or e-business systems.
· Strong understanding of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid ) and related business processes.
· Proficiency with Atlassian tools — JIRA, Confluence.
· Experience with SDLC methodologies: Waterfall and Agile.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or a related field.
Equivalent years of experience may substitute for formal education.
