Location: Reston, VA or Plano, TX Hybrid Onsite 3 days a week

Job Description

This person will need a strong Application Security background but wants to be more in the training portion of the job. This person should want to help train the Developers it comes to learning the skills, tools, and troubleshooting issues from a security standpoint.

****They will be coming up with the content almost like a professor. They will train the development team as they work on different topics. They'll be putting together presentations, and they will also hold office hours once a week. They need to have a knowledge of the skills and tools listed below but they don't need in-depth hands-on experience with them.

Description :

• Demonstrated teaching ability in the areas of cybersecurity with focus in application security, Software development, DevSecOps and information systems.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in curriculum development, planning, implementation, and assessment of student learning.
• Teaching responsibilities include time spent in laboratory, or online courses and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; conferring with students on course materials; directing individual and group studies; preparing assignments and challenges for the security coaches.
• Excellent work ethics and organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of computer languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++
• Relevant experience with cloud and on-premises platforms.

• The Trainers will be teaching the developers how to write secure code
• OWASP top 10
• When a code is presented, they should know how to remediate it
• Very good at communication
• Very good at presenting to classroom style setting
• Basic understanding of InfoSec and AppSec
• Understands programing language -Java, python
• Hits the ground running
