Location: Seattle, WA
Responsibilities:
- Find land acquisition opportunities through tax maps and networking with brokers, landowners, and others.
- Help manage the due diligence process and coordinate activities with the VP of Land.
- Attend weekly land meetings and update the VP of Land and Development on potential deals.
- Assist in rezoning and attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and homeowners.
- Keep inventory reports, contract summaries, and market analyses up to date.
- Maintain Land Contract files, maps, and documents in the office.
- Build relationships with other builders and developers to stay informed.
- Help negotiate terms of purchase and sale agreements with the Division’s attorneys.
- Work with the VP of Land and VP of Finance to keep the 5-year plan current.
- Provide weekly updates on the contract status report.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient with computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, project scheduling, and data management).
- Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and achieve objectives with little supervision.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Current auto insurance coverage.
