Job Title: Linguist- Brazilian Portuguese
Locations: Onsite at Burlingame, CA
Duration: 12 Months Contract on W2 (Possible extension)
Skills:
• Native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese or demonstrated near-native fluency
• Knowledge of phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, dialectology and other areas of linguistics.
• Text to Speech
• Command line/scripting/coding skills (Python, bash, regexes)
• Ability to analyze waveforms and spectrograms.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge in transcription and annotation systems such as SAMPA, IPA and ToBI.
