Job Description

Our client is seeking a certified and skilled Mammography Technician to join our healthcare team and provide top-notch mammography services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate specialized mammography equipment to perform high-quality screenings and diagnostic mammograms in line with physician orders.
  • Prepare and guide patients through procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring their comfort and safety .
  • Evaluate mammography images for technical quality (density, contrast, definition, and distortion) and make adjustments as needed to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards .
  • Clean, maintain, and perform routine adjustments on mammography equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety .
  • Assist radiologists with special procedures, including biopsies, localization, and additional diagnostic studies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with infection control, health, and radiation safety protocols .
  • Participate in quality control procedures to meet and maintain accreditation standards .
  • Stay current with advancements in mammography technology, techniques, and best practices to provide top-tier services.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program .
  • Active certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Mammography .
  • State license in Radiologic Technology (as required by state regulations).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong knowledge of mammography procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care .
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
