Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Akron, OH (100% onsite)

Contract through end of 2025 (potential extension / FTE option if project is approved)

We are actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and optimization of high-production manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in laser welding, automation, and process optimization, with a proven ability to set up and deploy manufacturing lines from concept through execution. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in high-production manufacturing environments, preferably with heat exchanger tube bundles or similar products.
• Demonstrated expertise in automated welding, forming and assembly processes.
• Strong track record of setting up manufacturing lines from concept through successful deployment.
• Proven ability to optimize manufacturing processes for cost without compromising quality or safety.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve production challenges.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage projects and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 principles.
• Experience in manufacturing of ASME BPVC heat exchangers and vessels.
