(6 Month Intern with opportunity to become permanent)

Reports To: Sr. Director of Brand, butter LONDON

Supervises: N/A

Salary: Hourly Pay is $10 to $15 USD

Position Summary

The Marketing Intern is responsible for coordinating butter LONDON’s social media accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience with social media, have their finger on the pulse of pop culture and the latest social trends and be creative enough to suggest how and when to insert the brand in relevant conversations. Butter LONDON’s marketing intern will be coming up with social media ideas and executing the posts/campaigns for LinkedIn, X, Instagram , TikTok , Pinterest and Facebook on a weekly basis. Additionally, they will support strategic social media and influencer marketing plans and help bring them to life

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the day-to-day for our social media calendars (stories/postings/engagement)

• Creates and executes against our social content calendar, optimizing for growth of engagement and following on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Lives and breathes TikTok; owns TikTok channel engagement, identifying opportunities to engage with users as well as create real-time content (stitches, trending sounds, etc.)
• Assists with content planning, balancing both brand and business objectives
• Ensures all user-generated content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging, obtaining necessary permissions and rights for use.
• Stays updated on social media trends and experiment with new formats to engage audiences.
• Writes compelling, on-brand copy – often under tight deadlines – that fit the specific goals of each initiative
• Content Scheduling & Posting: Plan and schedule content across platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and timing
• Supports community management / audience interaction, as needed
• Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of social media
• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be a current, full-time college student with at least one academic term remaining. The following students are generally eligible:
• Undergraduate students graduating between May 2025 and 2026 (rising Juniors or Seniors)
• Students completing their master’s degree between May 2025 and 2026
• Full Time MBA students between the 1st and 2nd year of their program
• Able to commit to 10-20 hours per week
• Great communication (verbal and written) skills
• Must be a comfortable with copy writing and have a Gen Z voice approach
• Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social media trends
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, track campaign details, and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of metrics like engagement rates, impressions, and follower demographics
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn, collaborate and adapt to a fast paced environment
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail
• Convey a can-do, positive attitude towards tackling problems and are able to see other points of view
• Ability to come into the Atlanta office at least 1x a week (Monday, Wed or Thursday)
• Passion for the beauty industry is a plus but not mandatory
