Job Description

Our stores are located in the nation's most prestigious hotels and resorts, operated by such well known brands as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton, Westin, Intercontinental, Renaissance, Omni and Fairmont.

Under the direction of the Senior Buyer perform routine administrative duties in support of the purchase of merchandise for various categories on our Core Team (Food/Candy/Grocery/Ice Cream).

What you will do

  • Input data onto purchase order work sheets.
  • Maintain on-order log and follows up weekly on past due orders.
  • Create and maintain a re-orderable assortment, plan-o-grams and product illustration files.
  • Create purchase orders, submit system updates, complete price changes and promotions
  • Maintain new store checklist and tracks all orders for new store openings.
  • Run, prepare and print reports for vendor meetings.
  • Responsible for compiling information and preparing new vendor set up paperwork.
  • Run sales reports for the Buyer/Assistant Buyer as required..
  • Respond to requests for information including phone calls and emails from vendors, potential vendors, members of field management or other parties in an effective and timely manner.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Associates degree in buying or merchandising or a minimum of one-year experience working in the merchandising department of a retail organization.
  • Ability to resolve recurring problems
  • Basic math and analytical skills;
  • Ability to establish priorities, organize work to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Ability to effectively use office MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint - including Pivot Tables and VLookup functions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
