Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Occupational Therapist to support our client’s medical facility based in Alpena, MI . This travel opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

  • Performs formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.

Develops Treatment Plan:

  • Creates a goal-specific treatment regimen based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance.
  • Submits written treatment regimen as part of the plan of care, in coordination with and authorized by the physician.
  • Updates the plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status.

Supervision and Coordination:

  • Cosigns verbal orders received by Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTA) as necessary.
  • Coordinates treatment schedule (frequency and duration) with the patient, family, caregiver, and clinical support staff.

Patient Education:

  • Educates the patient, family, and/or caregiver about the condition, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and the rationale for prescribed treatments.
  • Explains treatments involving rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions.

Supervision and Support:

  • Provides supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students, following affiliate and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • OT Experience
  • Primarily inpatient, some outpatient & acute care
  • Peds Experience
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Michigan License

Schedule: 4x10– Days – 07:00 AM-05:00 PM

Pay Range: $49/ hour-$50/ hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience.
  • One of the following certifications or registrations is required:
  • CCMA (Cert-Cert Clinical MA) - National Healthcareer Association
  • CMA-AAM (Cert-Cert Medical Assistant) - American Association of Medical Assistants
  • EMT, EMT-A, EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, LIC PAR (Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic) - Texas Department of State Health Services
  • NCMA (National Cert Med Assistant) - National Center for Competency Testing
  • NRCMA (Nat Reg Cert Med Assistant) - National Association of Health Professionals
