Join our team as a Painter for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club!

The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it’s sister properties include Montecito Club, Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, San Ysidro Ranch, Sandpiper Golf Club, Four Seasons New York, and Las Ventanas Al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico. Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the Painter responsibilities include removal of old paint from surfaces to prepare for painting, fill nail holes, cracks, and joints, smooth surfaces by sanding and apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, and other structures. Ensure your area of responsibility meets all company compliance standards, always using the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Utilize scaffolding or set up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level.

This position is compensated at $23 - $25 per hour DOE .

Essential Duties

• Provide courteous, service-oriented interactions with colleagues, Members, guests, and vendors
• Punctually report for scheduled shifts and maintain proper uniform and grooming standards
• Commit to continual improvement in operations
• Inspect and maintain equipment, structures, and clean surfaces, including floors and walls
• Perform painting and maintenance tasks as needed, including light fixtures and furniture
• Monitor building security and notify management of any maintenance impacts
• Communicate supply and safety needs to the Chief Engineer promptly
• Prepare for painting by setting up decorations and moving heavy items
• Attend required training and adhere to all Club policies and procedures
• Foster a safe work environment across all operational areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ Painting experience required
• Basic knowledge of tools, proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment/machinery
• Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling preferred
• High level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier private club

Physical Requirements:

• Stand/walk for at least 8 hours.
• Climb stairs and perform actions like bending, kneeling, and stretching
• Lift, push, or carry at least 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions continuously
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Exposure to loud noise and hazardous materials may occur

Qualifications & Skills :

• Strong client service, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance required
• Knowledge of building tools, methods, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to meet guest needs
• Team-oriented in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to understand and follow the Coral Casino Employee Handbook
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
