Our Firm has an opening for an experienced Paralegal to work on estate planning, tax and probate matters in our St. Louis office.

Created in 2024 through the merger of two firms, the firm's 275 lawyers advise regional, national, and global businesses on a wide range of legal matters across more than 25 specialized practice and industry groups. Our Firm has nine primary office locations, including Chicago; Cincinnati; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Florida; New York; Southern Illinois; St. Louis; and Washington, DC.

Responsibilities Include

• Preparing estate tax returns, gift tax returns, individual and fiduciary income tax returns (1041, 1065 and 706).
• Assisting with trust process, including funding, administration, and notices.
• Assisting with the preparation of basic estate planning documents and related trust funding.
• Assisting with probate administration, including opening/closing estates, e-filing, preparing accountings, and handling asset transfers.
• Communicating with clients and advisors.

Qualified Applicants Will Have

• 3+ years of probate, trust and tax experience.
• General understanding of estate planning principles and trust funding procedures.
• Knowledge of beneficiary designation forms and ability to coordinate with clients' financial advisors.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and good judgment.
• Ability to manage high volume priorities while working with others to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, especially when working with clients.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe, required.
