Boutique litigation firm based in White Plains seeks an entry-level junior legal assistant/paralegal to support a team of fifteen (15) attorneys and two full-time paralegals in a fast-paced, collegial work environment with room for growth. Position is full-time in office.
Responsibilities :
· Assist with trial and court appearance preparation including the assembly of exhibits, trial binders, and additional resources
· Assist with document productions, including organization of documents and Bates stamping
· Order, follow-up on, and organize relevant medical records for large docket of premises liability cases
· Communicate with court personnel, vendors, clients, and other attorneys as requested.
· Manage paper and electronic files/documentation
· Maintain firm and attorney calendars as directed by paralegal staff
· Submit e-filings via federal, New York, and New Jersey electronic systems (candidate will be trained on applicable systems)
· Hand deliver/file hard copy documents in state and federal courts
· Assist with maintenance of firm’s CRM database
· Answer firm’s main phone line as needed
· Provide additional support to paralegals and attorneys as needed
Qualifications
· Minimum Associate’s Degree required
· Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and multitask
· Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
· Team player and willingness to work overtime (nights and weekends) as requested
