Title: Parts Manager

Location: Irondale, AL (In-office)

Salary: $25-36/hr.
Vaco is assisting a Birmingham client looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join their team. The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the parts department, ensuring that all parts and accessories are properly ordered, stored, and distributed to customers and service departments. This role includes managing inventory, developing relationships with suppliers, ensuring optimal parts availability, and supervising the parts staff. The Parts Manager ensures that all operations meet the company's standards for customer service, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management : Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and accessories, ensuring parts are stocked according to demand. Perform regular stock checks and manage reordering processes.
Order Processing : Oversee the ordering and receiving of parts, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of parts when they arrive. Ensure that special orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.
Staff Management : Supervise and train parts department staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about parts, efficient in their work, and provide excellent service.
Supplier Relations : Establish and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely availability of parts.
Compliance and Safety : Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, including proper storage of parts and handling hazardous materials.
Recordkeeping and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, returns, and inventories. Generate and analyze reports for department performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Previous 1-3 years of experience in parts management, warehouse management, or inventory management is required.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with purchasing software is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
