We are currently seeking an experienced:

PERSONAL CARE TECHNICIAN – CNA II

Full-Time, Nights (11p - 7a)

Job Description:

• Assembles supplies for treatment trays/cart and maintains organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Preforms assigned decubitus treatments and G- Tube dressings.
• May do fingersticks as assigned and report results to primary nurse.
• Hangs and initiates tube feeding after the Charge Nurse has determined proper positioning/placement of feeding tube.
• Signs treatment record verifying the treatment has been preformed
• Assists nursing assistants with turning and drying patients.
• Preforms urinary catheter irrigations and ostomy care.
• Assists in the removal of fecal impactions.
• Sets up and monitors oxygen therapy.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent and be of 18 years of age or older.
• Current listing as a NA II with the N.C Board of Nursing, and NAI with the Dept. Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect.
• Willing to care for the needs of geriatric patients and demonstrate concern for their welfare.
• Willing and able to receive, understand and follow orders.
• Willing to cooperate with others
• Respectful to all patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Ability to practice good body mechanics and utilize all equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to demonstrate a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to read, know and follow personnel, department and facility policies and procedures.
