About Us:

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high-mix, quick-turn, ISO 9001:2015 certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility. Our operations utilize cutting-edge equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support multiple assembly lines. As a rapid parts manufacturer, we serve diverse industries including energy, power generation, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace, all from our state-of-the-art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead weekend shift operations in our fast-paced and lean manufacturing environment. The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of production during weekend operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This role will drive process improvements, foster a culture of accountability, and implement cutting-edge technologies across laser cutting, machining, bending, fabrication, welding, assembly, and powder coating operations.

Specific Duties Include:

• Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong culture of safety across all teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Weekend Operations Management: Plan and manage all manufacturing activities during weekend shifts to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize production workflows, utilizing lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and Kaizen events to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Technological Innovation: Drive the adoption and integration of advanced technologies, ensuring the plant remains at the forefront of the industry.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and meet customer requirements.
• Client Engagement: Represent Ameritex at customer facilities, quality audits, and other external events. Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements, communicate progress, and proactively address concerns.
• Mentorship & Workforce Development: Foster and develop a world-class workforce by mentoring and coaching employees. Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth opportunities.
• Technical Resource: Act as a technical resource for engineering and production teams, ensuring timely resolution of operational challenges.
• Project Leadership: Oversee weekend-specific plant initiatives, including new production line implementations or operational upgrades.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (engineering background preferred).
• Lean-Six Sigma certification or training.
• Military or leadership experience.
• Previous experience in steel or metals fabrication or manufacturing environments (e.g., CNC machining, setups, production planning, etc.).
