The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

As part of our restaurant operations team and as a key part of the food and beverage team you will:

• Polish and inspect all glassware, silverware, and tableware to ensure they are spotless, streak-free, and ready for service.
• Handle all items with care to prevent breakage or damage during cleaning and storage.
• Organize and store polished items in designated areas for easy access by the service team.
• Maintain a clean and orderly polishing and storage area in compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Promptly communicate with supervisors of any shortages, damages, or breakages.
• Provide additional back-of-house support as assigned to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

What you can bring to the role:

• No experience is necessary for this role, so a can do attitude and a willingness to learn is all you need
• Although this role does not directly interact with our members, you will often be visible in and around service areas, so a high standard of personal presentation and a welcoming vibe is essential for all roles at Ned’s Club
• Whilst not the main point of contact, guests will likely ask you for additional items or ask questions so an ability to communicate in a friendly manner about the food and drinks is essential
• Ideally this will be a stepping stone into a server role, so a desire to learn and progress is always welcome, but not essential
