Job Description

Position Objective: To oversee the development and execution of the New Orleans Port Project, ensuring smooth operational management during the project phase.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of the New Orleans Port Project, from inception to completion.
• Oversee daily port operations, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project success.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance port productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the project budget and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
• Address operational issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure continuity of port services.
• Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, clients, shipping companies, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage the relevant internal and external teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in port operations or the maritime sector.
• Proven leadership and team management experience, preferably in a port or logistics facility.
• Expertise in managing port operations and making swift, effective decisions in crisis situations.
• Experience in financial accountability and budget management.
• Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges promptly.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
• Strategic decision-making skills and a capacity to stand behind critical decisions.
• Ability to manage port authority-related processes and build strong relationships with firms, agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
