Job Description

Contract opportunity skilled Power BI Developer with expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) solutions , transforming raw data into insightful reports and dashboards, and managing data integration and analytical models.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Build data models, DAX queries, and calculated measures to support business reporting needs.
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and access control in Power BI Service.
• Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms .

SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services):

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work with large datasets to perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation .
• Automate data pipelines and schedule jobs for data refresh using SSIS.
• Monitor and optimize ETL performance and data movement across systems.

SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services):

• Design and develop OLAP cubes and Tabular models for analytical reporting.
• Optimize SSAS models for high performance and efficient querying.
• Implement MDX/DAX queries for advanced analytics.
• Manage security and user access controls for SSAS models.

General Data & BI Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements .
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in BI reports, data integration, and analytical models.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS features.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5 + years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in SSIS, SSAS (Tabular & Multidimensional models), SQL Server, and T-SQL.
• Proficiency in DAX, MDX, and SQL query optimization .
• Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling .
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize BI solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $60.00 - $70.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
